Independent research

Only 15–30% of applied phosphorus is recovered in the first year. Soil chemistry, not the fertilizer rate, gates how much P the crop actually sees.

Corn is highly zinc-responsive below ~0.5 ppm DTPA; adding zinc to a starter lifts yield ~6–7% on zinc-short soils and nothing where zinc is already adequate.
