The breakdown
What happened, measurement by measurement.
Every chart below is transcribed from the report you can open above. Green means the AgriTec program won the measure outright; grey means it came in statistically even, which on a quality measure is the result you want — the yield came without a give-back.
Plot weight
The heaviest plots in the trial were the full AgriTec program.
Fall vigor · rated 11/17/2021
Treated wheat went into winter visibly stronger.
Spring vigor · rated 3/1/2022
The fall advantage was still there at green-up.
Everything else that was measured
Including the measurements that did not move. A trial that only reports what improved isn't a trial.
Fall vigor (1 to 5, rated 11/17/2021)
check 3.0 b · treated 4.0 to 4.3 a
P(F) = .0001 · LSD 0.31
Spring vigor (1 to 5, rated 3/1/2022)
check 3.0 c · treated 3.5 to 4.0
P(F) = .0032 · LSD 0.50
Plot weight

A 26% yield increase
What the report says
- Yields standardized to 11% grain moisture, mean of four replicated plots.
- The full program beat the next-best treatment by 5.8 bushels, above the LSD.
- One pass only: all products soil-applied pre-emergence on 11/4/2021 in 20 gal/ac water. No in-season foliar applications were part of this protocol.
- Two weeks after application every treated plot rated a full point ahead of the check on fall vigor, and treated plots held the advantage through spring green-up.
- AgriTec supplied the products and the protocol; Agricenter did the planting, spraying, rating and harvest.
Trial notes & scope
- One replicated small-plot trial in one season. Responses will vary with soil, weather and management.
- Treatments 2 through 5 all share the letter b. Those four partial programs (88.1, 88.1, 88.6, 93.0 bu/ac) do not differ significantly from one another.
- The site was an acid, low-CEC soil (pH 5.4, CEC 4.3, OM 1.8%), conditions favourable to a calcium response.
- Test weight differed significantly (P = .0025): 3-18-18 + Pro-Cal fell to 58.3 lb/bu against 60.0 for the check, though the full program matched the check.
- The report prints the yield LSD as 5.5 bu/ac in the chart and 5.49 in the means table.
