The breakdown

What happened, measurement by measurement.

Every chart below is transcribed from the report you can open above. Green means the AgriTec program won the measure outright; grey means it came in statistically even, which on a quality measure is the result you want — the yield came without a give-back.

What the report says

  • Bio-Act rate paid. Moving from 32 to 85 fl oz per application, and adding the at-plant broadcast pass, was worth 4.0 bu/ac.
  • The gain showed up on the scales: treatment 1 was the only one significantly heavier per plot, 12.11 vs 11.24 lb.
  • Adding 3 gal/ac of Nitro-Maxx+ at R5 to R6 recovered +2.6 bu/ac on the reduced-rate program, though not statistically separable from either other program.
  • Emergence was uniform at 137,900 to 139,400 plants/ac, so the yield difference came after the stand was set.
  • Treatment 1 applied four times the total Bio-Act of the reduced programs, 255 vs 64 fl oz/ac.

Trial notes & scope

  • There was no untreated check. All three treatments are AgriTec programs sharing the same Pro-Cal + 3-18-18 base, so the +4.0 bu/ac is full-rate vs reduced-rate Bio-Act, not vs untreated ground.
  • Treatment 3 was not statistically separable from either treatment 1 or treatment 2.
  • One year, one site. Pair these results with your own soil test before setting rates.
  • Stand, moisture and test weight showed no treatment effect.
  • The report prints two harvest dates: November 29 in the header and timeline, November 22 in a results heading.
